At Cavendish Square Private Psychiatry, we prioritise being transparent about our fees to ensure that all patients are fully informed of the costs associated with our services. 

 

Below is a detailed breakdown of all the services provided by us and associated charges.

​Please note that our clinic does not currently accept patients under the NHS Right to Choose pathway.  All Adult ADHD assessments and treatments provided by our clinic are offered on a private, self-funded basis.

Initial Psychiatric Assessment

(Face to Face / Remote Consultation)

Appointment with a Consultant Psychiatrist for approximately 60 minutes (1 hour)

This includes comprehensive initial assessment, providing clinical opinion and recommendations, treatment plan, private prescription (if clinically appropriate), and detailed report/letter to GP by email.

Initial Adult ADHD Assessment

(Face to Face / Remote Consultation)

Appointment with a Consultant Psychiatrist for approximately 120 minutes (2 hours)

This includes comprehensive initial psychiatric assessment and detailed evaluation of ADHD symptoms using standardised assessment methods and questionnaires, providing clinical opinion and recommendations, treatment plan, private prescription (if clinically appropriate), and detailed report/letter to GP by email.

Neuropsychiatry Assessment 

(Face to Face Consultation)

£950

Appointment with a Consultant Psychiatrist for approximately 150 minutes (2.5 hours)

This includes comprehensive initial assessment using evidence-based neuropsychological tests, providing clinical opinion and recommendations, treatment plan, private prescription (if clinically appropriate), and detailed report/letter to GP by email.

Psychiatric  / ADHD Follow Up

(Face to Face / Remote Consultation)

£190

Appointment with a Consultant Psychiatrist for approximately 30 minutes (0.5 hours)

This includes monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans, providing private prescription (if clinically appropriate), and providing detailed report/letter to GP by email.

Private Prescription - Provided during an appointment

  • You will need to self-fund the cost of the medications at your preferred pharmacy.

  • ​Cavendish Square Private Psychiatry does not dispense medications.

Private Prescription - Provided outside an appointment

​Please note that:

  • We can provide the different options for collecting or receiving Controlled Drug and Non-Controlled Drug prescriptions when you request a prescription.​

  • You will need to self-fund the cost of the medications at your preferred pharmacy.

  • ​Cavendish Square Private Psychiatry does not dispense medications.

Adult ADHD Shared Care Agreement (SCA)

FREE

This is a letter requesting formal arrangement between your Consultant Psychiatrist and your NHS GP, allowing the GP to take over prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication after your Consultant Psychiatrist has diagnosed you with ADHD, started, and stabilized treatment. The Consultant Psychiatrist monitors your treatment during regular reviews, while your GP provides repeat prescriptions, but GPs can decline signing an SCA if they deem it unsafe, requiring the specialist to retain full responsibility. 

Travel Letter

FREE

This is a letter we provide confirming your prescribed medicines, dosages, and the condition they treat, crucial for airport security and border checks, especially for controlled drugs.

Structured Support Letter

£100

This is a letter that provides an objective, evidence-based assessment of a your mental health condition, functional limitations, and required adjustments including practical support needed for workplace, housing, or educational settings. 

Review of Historical Medical Records

£250

The review is undertaken for purposes such as providing a second opinion, preparing reports, or informing ongoing clinical assessment and treatment planning. This charge is per hour and covers the time and professional expertise required to review and analyse a patient’s past medical and psychiatric records, including review of complex documentation, evaluation of previous diagnoses and treatments, consideration of risk assessments, and integration of historical information with current clinical findings. This may include records obtained from NHS services, private providers, or other third parties. This work is carried out outside of routine clinical appointments and requires additional administrative and clinical time, which is not covered by standard consultation fees
